Customer Update: COVID-19

At Di Bella Coffee we care about the wellbeing of our people and community, including the safety and wellbeing of our team members, customers and visitors.
As the COVID-19 (Coronavirus) situation continues to evolve, we therefore wanted to share with you our ongoing efforts to manage the situation and mitigate potential impacts to our operations.

We feel that it is important to take a calm and balanced approach, making sensible assumptions and focusing our efforts on practical, meaningful actions that prioritises the health and wellbeing of our people, customers and communities, and is also based on the expert advice being provided by the Australian Government Department of Health.

We are also committed to maintaining consistency of supply for our products, and to continuing to meet the high level of service our customers have come to expect of us.
To help us do these things we:

  •  Have increased production and stock-on-hand to better ensure we can continue to meet your orders on time and in full;
  • Have segmented functional areas within our business to restrict physical interactions between our operational and administrative personnel. This step is in addition to other precautionary steps taken to help limit the potential spread of COVID-19 within the workplace and our communities, consistent with Australian Government advice; and
  • Will shortly be contacting you to discuss increasing your par levels of coffee to two weeks’ suply, based on existing orders, similar to what is done during our Christmas shut down period. This approach is intended to minimise any potential disruption to your business given potential demand for coffee products.

We’ve also temporarily suspended access to the Di Bella Coffee HUB for the general public, but will be operating a coffee cart takeaway solution in the meantime. We have also adopted a third party logistics model to minimise potential roastery risks.

It is also important to remember that our Brisbane roastery is complemented by additional coffee roasting operations and capacity in Sydney and Internationally, providing added comfort as to our ability to meet your coffee requirements in the event of temporary disruptions to our Bowen Hills facility.

We also ask for your help and patience as we manage the current COVID-19 situation. In this respect, we kindly ask if you could consider the area in which you are receiving deliveries, and where possible, ensuring this is in a clean area separate from that in which food is prepared. We would also ask that you immediately notify us if you or any of your team has been isolated or exposed COVID-19 so that appropriate steps might be taken as required.

We also welcome hearing from you about any measures you may have taken that have been impactful and which we could share with others. We want to do all we can to make sure the communities we all work with are kept safe.

We appreciate that the current COVID-19 situation is both fluid and developing. We are continuing to monitor the situation, including regular updates provided by the Australian Government Department of Health, and will advise of any important information concerning our business or its response to this situation.
